The new cabin design is a key element of Cathay Pacific’s long-term vision to become one of the world’s greatest service brands by enhancing its global offering and providing customers with exceptional in-flight comfort. It is part of the well over HK$100 billion (US$12.8 billion) being invested by the Cathay Group in its fleet, cabin products, airport lounges, and digital innovation. The Cathay Group now has more than 100 state-of-the-art narrowbody, regional widebody, long-haul widebody and large freighter aircraft on order.

Cathay Pacific Senior Vice President, Americas Cindy Lam said: “We are proud to introduce our retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER featuring the award-winning Aria Suite, a redesigned Premium Economy cabin and refreshed Economy experience to customers in San Francisco. The destination joined our network in 1986 as Cathay Pacific’s first U.S. city, and it has held a special place in our history ever since. Next year, as we mark 40 years of flying from San Francisco and celebrate Cathay Pacific’s 80th anniversary, it’s only fitting that this city becomes the first U.S. destination to welcome our newest human‑centric cabin experience. This meaningful milestone represents our ongoing commitment to delivering elevated comfort, thoughtful design, and exceptional service to North American travelers.”

Cathay Pacific is operating 19 nonstop return flights per week between San Francisco and Hong Kong this winter season. With 110 return flights per week from North America, connectivity to Hong Kong and beyond is seamless via Cathay Pacific’s expanding global network.

Lam continued: “2025 has been a landmark year for the Cathay Group with our combined passenger network across Cathay Pacific and our low-cost carrier HK Express now connecting customers to more than 100 destinations worldwide. In April this year, we launched our first direct route between Dallas-Fort Worth and Hong Kong, later increasing it to a daily service in October following strong customer demand. Looking ahead, we’re excited to be launching direct flights between Seattle and Hong Kong in March 2026, and opening our first Cathay Pacific Lounge in New York at John F. Kennedy International Airport’s new state-of-the-art Terminal 6.”
