Statement from Cathay Pacific Airways

Cathay Pacific Airways began the negotiations with the Flight Attendants Union (FAU) with a goal of reaching an agreement that respects the interests of all parties concerned – the members of our cabin crew, other Cathay Pacific employees, and most importantly, our valued customers in Hong Kong and around the world.

We are pleased that the constructive discussions that we have carried out with the leadership of the FAU, and with the important support of the Labour Department, have produced a memorandum of understanding that successfully achieves that goal.

The memorandum that has been signed today was made possible because all parties entered into these discussions in good faith and, in reaching an understanding, they have shown that they were willing to work to realise an outcome that is in the best interests of everyone concerned, including the traveling public and the people and economy of Hong Kong.
