New Finance Director at Cathay Pacific
In his new role, Mr Murray will have overall responsibility for financial reporting, treasury, corporate finance, taxation, risk management, internal audit and compliance at the airline.
He joins Cathay Pacific from Swire Pacific Limited where he was Deputy Finance Director from August 2009.
Formerly with Ernst & Young in Scotland and Hong Kong, Mr Murray joined the Swire group in January 1995 and worked for the group in Hong Kong, the USA, Singapore and Australia. His roles included Manager Treasury, Finance Director Trading Division, Finance Director of the Shipping Group and Finance Director of John Swire & Sons Pty Ltd.
Mr Murray graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1988 with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is married with two children.
