‘fanfares’ upgraded with new premium offers Cathay Pacific and Dragonair to introduce Business and Premium Economy Class ‘fanfares’ offering customers more travel choices

Hong Kong’s most popular fare promotion is about to become even more alluring with the announcement by Cathay Pacific and Dragonair today that “fanfares” will be upgraded with Business and Premium Economy Class options, offering travellers great value and more choices.

Since its launch, “fanfares” has been the talk of the town, with people rushing to find out what new offers are up for grabs every Tuesday at 8am.  Starting from tomorrow, 4 October, customers can book the new premium promotional fares, as well as Economy Class offers, through the airlines’ dedicated “fanfares” website - www.cathaypacific.com/fanfares or www.dragonair.com/fanfares, providing more choices to suit the needs of the airlines’ customers.

The first week’s Business Class offers include Phuket (HK$2,900*), Seoul (HK$4,900*) and Los Angeles (HK$29,900*), while Premium Economy promotions to Milan (HK$9,900*) and Vancouver (HK$9,900*) have also been made available. Travel periods for the offers will be spread between October 2016 and May 2017.

“fanfares” is widely known for offering great value for money and provides the perfect opportunity for Hong Kong’s travelling public to experience the airlines’ superior products and services. “fanfares” offers attractive deals for a wide-range of destinations, leveraging the strength of the Cathay Pacific and Dragonair networks, schedules and worldwide connectivity. Customers have been able to experience some of the airlines’ newest destinations, including Düsseldorf, Madrid and Gatwick.

While “fanfares” customers have long been able to enjoy many of the same great benefits and superior services that apply to regular fare bookings, Business and Premium Economy Class “fanfares” allow passengers to enjoy a premium travel experience, with greater benefits, while still providing remarkable value. These include the enhanced baggage allowances applicable to Business and Premium Economy classes, advance seat reservations and full mileage earning capabilities – 125% of miles travelled in Business Class (fare class “I”) and 110% of miles travelled in Premium Economy (fare class “E”). Passengers holding Business Class “fanfares” tickets will naturally be entitled to lounge access across the airlines’ global networks.

Introduced in October 2012, the promotion has received an overwhelming response, with some 30 million visits to the “fanfares” website and over 520,000 sectors sold to date. “fanfares”, which underlines the Cathay Pacific Group's commitment to offering great value in its home market, has covered a total of 90 destinations in 33 countries across the extensive Cathay Pacific and Dragonair networks.
