Dragonair flight updates for Shanghai

17 Jun 2015

Dragonair advises passengers that flights to and from Shanghai Pudong International Airport today were subject to delays and cancellations, due to extensive air traffic control restrictions imposed on flight operations for the third consecutive day which are beyond the airline’s control.

In order to minimise the flights congestion and delays, four pairs of flights to and from Shanghai Pudong today (17 June) have been cancelled. Alternative flights will be arranged for affected passengers.

Dragonair’s Director Operations, Peter Sanderson, said: "The extensive flow controls for flights to and from Shanghai Pudong have had a significant impact on our operation for three consecutive days, resulting in delays for our passengers. We are doing everything possible in dealing with the operational challenges and minimising inconvenience to the affected passengers.

“It remains a very challenging period for ground staff and operating crew alike. We would like to appeal to our passengers for their understanding about these delays and cancellations that are beyond the airline’s control.”
