Cathay Pacific Welcomes New Vice President Canada

(Vancouver, B.C) - Cathay Pacific, one of the world’s premium airlines, is pleased to announce the appointment of Cheuk Lo as Vice President Canada where he will be responsible for the airline’s operations in Canada. He relocates to Vancouver from the headquarters in Hong Kong.

Cheuk brings a broad range of experience to his new role as Vice President Canada. He joined Cathay Pacific Airways in 2002 as a Revenue Analyst and later joined the Management Trainee Programme. This was followed by a move to Cathay Pacific’s Bangkok office as Assistant to General Manager Southeast Asia before being promoted to the role of Manager Penang, Malaysia. In 2008 he relocated back to Hong Kong and held a management position in Airline Planning, and then prior to his move to Canada, he was Manager Revenue Management Systems responsible for overseeing the continual enhancement of the revenue management system and related business and system processes.

“I’m delighted with the move to Canada and look forward to working with the team to continually raise the profile of the Canadian operation,” says Cheuk Lo, who recently arrived at the airline’s Vancouver office. “With a reputation for providing outstanding service, complemented by recent onboard enhancements such as our new Premium Economy Class, it’s our pleasure to deliver the choice and value that our Canadian travellers deserve,” he added.

Cheuk was born in Hong Kong, later moving to Toronto where he lived for 13 years. He studied at Queens University and attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a Professional Internship. Fluent in English and Cantonese, Cheuk is married, has a young son, and enjoys many outdoor pursuits including jogging, basketball and golf.
