Cathay Pacific Airways Limited (“the Company”) was founded in Hong Kong in 1946. The Group has been deeply committed to its home base, extending to the rest of Greater Bay Area, making substantial investments to develop Hong Kong as one of the world’s leading international aviation centres.
Cathay is our master brand, which represents much more beyond airline travel. It represents our evolution into a premium travel lifestyle brand, consisting of a host of complementary categories – flights, holidays, shopping, dining, wellness and payment. All our travel lifestyle offerings are designed to bring customers exciting offers, rewards, and experiences with hand-picked partners.
Cathay Pacific is the brand of our airline. As at 30th June 2025, Cathay Pacific and HK Express combined offered scheduled passenger services to more than 100 destinations worldwide, including 22 in the Chinese Mainland. Cathay Cargo offered scheduled freighter services to 41 destinations worldwide. Air Hong Kong offered scheduled and charter freighter services to 16 destinations. Furthermore, the Group served an additional 155 destinations through codeshare agreements.
As at 30th June 2025, the Cathay Group had 234 aircraft. Cathay Pacific and Cathay Cargo had 179 passenger and cargo aircraft. The Cathay Group has 93 new passenger and freighter aircraft on order.
HK Express, a low-cost carrier based in Hong Kong offering scheduled services within Asia, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific and had 41 aircraft as at 30th June 2025.
Air Hong Kong, an express all-cargo carrier offering scheduled and charter services in Asia, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific operating 14 aircraft as at 30th June 2025.
The Group’s other investments include catering, laundry, ground-handling and cargo terminal companies, and its corporate headquarters is based at Hong Kong International Airport.
Shares of Cathay Pacific are listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.
