Cathay Pacific unveils

Cathay Pacific Airways today announced it is supporting the Operation UNITE "Take Off With Hong Kong" campaign with a special promotion that offers packages of discount fares to more than 40 cities worldwide.

"Take Off With Hong Kong - Cathay Pacific World Pass" offers combinations of up to three long-haul and short-haul flights to travellers in both Business and Economy Class at a discount of up to 45 percent off peak summer fares. Packages, listed below, can be upgraded from Business to First Class for an additional fee.

These special tickets will go on sale between 28 May and 9 June 2003 and travel must be completed by 30 November 2003 to any of the more than 40 selected destinations in Europe, North America, Australasia, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. The same city can be visited more than once.

As an added bonus, members of The Marco Polo Club and Asia Miles who take advantage of the package will be able to accrue an additional 1,000 Bonus Asia Miles in addition to their regular flight entitlement if they commence travel before 30 June 2003.

Cathay Pacific Airways Director and Chief Operating Officer Philip Chen said: "As Hong Kong's airline, we want to help Hong Kong 'take off' again and help people get their lives back to normal and promote Hong Kong to the outside world. With these discount fares, businessmen can also renew links with overseas contacts and bring more business back to Hong Kong."
