Regional General Manager South Asia, Middle East and Africa Mark Sutch said: “A rapidly growing economy, Bangladesh is an important market for us and we are delighted to introduce Cathay Pacific on the Dhaka-Hong Kong route.

“Deploying the wide-body aircraft is also an opportunity for us to service our customers and help them travel even more comfortably with a world-class product and a premium experience. The aircraft will also provide additional cargo space to support our scheduled freighters that have been operating throughout the pandemic.

“With our Cathay Care initiatives, we have further strengthened our commitment towards ensuring the wellbeing of our passengers, as we endeavour to provide a safe, secure and comfortable travel experience throughout their journey.”

Cathay Care

Customers can take off with confidence with Cathay Care, our commitment to our customers’ wellbeing. Enhanced safety measures are implemented across every stage of the journey, including contactless check-in and boarding, and social distancing in lounges and waiting areas. Once on board, safety measures continue with mandatory mask wearing, temperature checks, a modified meal service to reduce contact, limits on the number of passengers in specific areas, and seats blocked off where possible.

All our flights are operated by fully vaccinated aircrew, who strictly follow health and wellbeing requirements both in the air and during downtime. Furthermore, all aircraft will undergo regular deep cleaning and sanitisation. The HEPA-filtered cabin air also offers an additional safety element by recirculating air every two minutes, reducing 99.999 per cent of airborne contaminants and offering a similar level of performance to those used in hospitals.

Fly (Worry) Free

Cathay Pacific also helps customers book with greater peace of mind by giving them the freedom to make unlimited changes to new tickets. The airline has confirmed its ‘Fly Worry Free’ campaign is available for all new tickets purchased up to 31 December 2021, without the usual change fees, though tax or fare differences may apply.

Travellers are encouraged to adhere to all safety norms as well as check the latest government and travel restrictions in their country of origin and destination.

Customers can visit the Cathay Pacific website to book their tickets or contact the Customer Care team on +8802 222285802 or email us on dacres.common@cathaypacific.com
