Cathay Pacific is back with full wings for Brisbane and Perth
Brisbane and Perth flights return to pre-pandemic levels
Cathay Pacific will increase flights for Brisbane and Perth from 28 October 2024, returning to pre-pandemic flight levels. Increasing its number of flights by 75%, this new schedule will support passengers and cargo by offering more direct options into Hong Kong.
Changes to flights per week:
- Perth increases from six to 11
- Brisbane increases from six to 10
Sydney and Melbourne continue their daily services with four flights per day and three flights per day respectively.
Flights for this October to March 2025 are on sale now.
These latest flight updates showcase Cathay Pacific’s focus on its rebuild. The Cathay Group (including fully owned subsidiary HK Express) plans to restore its passenger flights to 100% of pre-pandemic levels within the first quarter of 2025 and is on track having reached 80% within the second quarter of this year, moving people to over 80 destinations around the world.
Frosti Lau, Regional General Manager, Southwest Pacific said: “I am incredibly proud to see flights increasing for both Brisbane and Perth. This is testament to our team who have been continuing to provide world-class service as we rebuild our flights and network. These new flights will give our Australian customers more choice when travelling to Hong Kong and beyond.
“This announcement is equally important for our cargo business as we grow our freight capacity. The updated schedule will see new opportunities available for businesses in Brisbane and Perth across the likes of fresh produce, pharma, speciality items and more.”
Cathay Pacific continues to invest not only in its network but also its customer experience offering. Whether you are looking for award-winning in-flight entertainment, incredible comfort or dining options from some of the most delicious restaurants in Hong Kong, there is something for everyone starting their trip with Cathay Pacific.
