Cathay Pacific customers from the Pearl River Delta region can now enjoy the airline’s dedicated check-in service at Shenzhen’s new Shekou Cruise Home Port, ensuring greater convenience and an enhanced travel experience before they board our flights in Hong Kong. With the opening of the new facilities, which were unveiled at a launch celebration today, Cathay Pacific becomes the first airline to provide its passengers with a dedicated check-in service at the recently upgraded ferry terminal.
Cathay Pacific General Manager Sales PRD & Hong Kong Liza Ng said: “Cathay Pacific launched its first ever “upstream” check-in service in Shekou in 2005 in order to provide a seamless connection between the Pearl River Delta region and our international flights departing from Hong Kong. The opening of the new check-in counters together with our personalised service will enable us to deliver our promise of a Life Well Travelled”.
In line with the airline’s ethos to put its passengers first and to maintain a consistent premium experience at every stage of their journey, the Cathay Pacific check-in counters in Shekou help provide customers a convenient one-stop service including baggage drop and boarding and lounge pass issuance, in addition to customs and immigration facilities at a single location. On arrival at Hong Kong International Airport, passengers can step straight from the ferry to their Cathay Pacific or Cathay Dragon flight, take the opportunity to indulge in some leisurely pre-flight shopping or relax in one of Cathay Pacific’s critically-acclaimed lounges before boarding.
In a continuing effort to strengthen connectivity between Mainland China and Hong Kong, Cathay Pacific and Shenzhen CMSK International Cruise Home Port have signed a strategic cooperation agreement relating to service promotion, marketing and cruise products, which will provide more benefits to customers based in the Pearl River Delta region.
To mark the launch of the new check-in service, Cathay Pacific is offering attractive sea-to-air bundle fares from the Pearl River Delta region to a number of popular destinations in Asia, Europe and the United States via its hub in Hong Kong. Passengers travelling from the Pearl River Delta can contact their travel agents for details and bookings.
