Cathay Pacific Gives Vancouver High School Students The Opportunity For An Aviation Career Experience
Students of the program have access to various facets of what makes the airline tick, from airport operations, aircraft engineering, and cabin services to passenger sales.
Several successful graduates of previous ‘I Can Fly’ Canada programs have joined Cathay Pacific, including three students from the Vancouver program, who are now working as flight attendants with Cathay Pacific’s Vancouver Cabin Crew Base. Launched in 2003 in Hong Kong, Cathay Pacific’s ‘I Can Fly’ program came to Canada in 2009 and since then over 170 students have completed this rewarding educational aviation adventure.
The 'I Can Fly' Vancouver program runs weekly and operates during after-school hours from mid-April to mid-June 2016. Grade 11 high school students with a passion for aviation or who are considering a post-graduate degree in the field are invited to apply online before March 10, 2016 at www.cathaypacific.ca/icanfly.
