Cathay Pacific congratulates Hong Kong International Airport’s 60 millionth passenger of 2014
At a ceremony held today at HKIA to mark the passenger milestone, Cathay Pacific Chief Operating Officer Rupert Hogg congratulated Jeffrey and presented him with a pair of round-trip Business Class tickets from Hong Kong to any Asian destination.
“We are very pleased that the 60 millionth passenger to Hong Kong was on a Cathay Pacific flight. The timing is great as Jeffrey travelled from Manchester, a destination we launched just 10 days ago. Manchester is very popular with many university students from Hong Kong and we are delighted that they are using our new direct service to fly home and reunite with their families during the Christmas and New Year holidays,” said Mr Hogg.
As the home airline of Hong Kong for almost seven decades, Cathay Pacific remains deeply committed to building the city into one of the world’s great aviation hubs. Network development remains a key focus for the airline, with three new destinations – Doha, Newark and Manchester – added to the network in 2014 and new flights to Zurich and Boston commencing in March and May 2015, respectively.
