An estimated 285 tonnes of valuable juicy fresh Australian mangoes will touch down in South Korea, Hong Kong, and Dubai this month, thanks to a new seasonal cargo service from Cathay Pacific Cargo.

The airline is pleased to announce it will operate one flight per week for five weeks on a Boeing 777 aircraft, with the first flight departing Darwin on November 4, 2022.

Cathay Pacific Cargo, in partnership with Seaway Logistics, shows its ongoing commitment to supporting local exporters as demand for Aussie produce continues to grow.

Cathay Pacific Regional Head of Cargo Nigel Chynoweth said: “Mangoes are an iconic Australian fruit loved by consumers across the globe. We are proud to support Northern Territory growers in getting Australian produce into key international markets and continue boosting exports.”

New state-of-the-art technology from Pak Fresh Handling ensures Australia’s world-famous mangoes are picked, packed, and delivered with the highest of industry standards.

The Vapor Heat Treatment System (VHT) is an environmentally friendly process enabling the nation’s largest producer of mangoes to directly export to countries like Korea and Japan while meeting international protocols without impacting the quality.
