Cathay Pacific appeals to cabin crew union not to inconvenience travelling public

Cathay Pacific Airways today called on the Flight Attendants Union not to take any action that will inconvenience the travelling public.

The airline said that while the talks on year-end arrangements had been concluded with a fair, reasonable and market-competitive pay package for cabin crew and other staff, the company is always ready and willing to continue its regular meetings on matters of mutual concern with the union. Such dialogue has already resulted in many positive developments.

Cathay Pacific Director Corporate Affairs Quince Chong expressed confidence that all cabin crew will act in a professional and responsible manner, taking to heart the interest of the public as they always do.
Cathay Pacific Airways has contingency measures in place for different situations and will do everything we can to maintain our services, she said.
