LOS ANGELES – (May 3, 2010) – On July 1st, Cathay Pacific Airways will mark 20 years of nonstop service from Hong Kong to the United States. The celebration, however, starts this week with the introduction of a third flight from Los Angeles to Hong Kong, the very same route flown on that first nonstop service nearly two decades ago.
Inbound CX884 and outbound CX885 will operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays complementing the airline’s existing two daily nonstops and increasing to 17 the number of Cathay Pacific flights each week traveling from Los Angeles to Hong Kong.

Within the United States, in addition to Los Angeles, Cathay Pacific began serving San Francisco International Airport and New York’s JFK International Airport with nonstop flights in 1998 and 2004, respectively.
