Cathay Pacific adds extra flights over Chinese New Year period

Cathay Pacific will add 30 extra flights to cater for high passenger demand during the Chinese New Year period.

The flights will operate from 21 January to 12 February 2001 and will head to three popular holiday destinations: Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Sapporo. The airline will also provide additional return flights from Fukuoka to Hong Kong.

Chinese New Year is traditionally a peak season for air traffic and Cathay Pacific is adding the extra sectors to meet the needs of the travelling public.

Cathay Pacific Director and Chief Operating Officer Philip Chen said: "We always pay close attention to the needs of our passengers and the travel trade, and we're adding these 30 flights to meet increased demand and give greater convenience. The extra flights to Asian destinations over the coming Chinese New Year will allow more travellers to enjoy holidays in the most popular destinations."
