(\u2018Qatar Airways\u2019) has announced today that it has acquired approximately 9.61 per cent stake in Cathay Pacific Airways Limited (\u2018Cathay Pacific\u2019). Both Cathay Pacific and Qatar Airways collaborate together as members of the <b>one</b>world alliance.\u00a0</p>\n<p>Air China Limited and Swire Pacific Limited together continue to hold 74.99 per cent shares of the airline.\u00a0</p>\n<p>Commenting on the share acquisition, Cathay Pacific Chief Executive Officer, Rupert Hogg said \u201cQatar Airways is one of the world\u2019s premier airlines. We already work together closely as fellow members of the <b>one</b>world alliance and we look forward to a continued constructive relationship.\u201d</p>",
