Given the weather conditions, there is a strong likelihood that flights departing and arriving at Hong Kong International Airport from Sunday evening to Monday morning will be delayed or cancelled. The airline is monitoring the situation closely and will issue further advice at the first opportunity on Saturday (21 September).

Passengers who are booked on flights departing between 22 September and 23 September are strongly encouraged to postpone non-essential travel. The airline will waive re-booking fees for all tickets issued worldwide (irrespective of fare type) on or before 20 September for travel on Cathay Pacific between 22 September (Hong Kong time) and 24 September.  Passengers without confirmed bookings are advised not to go to the airport.  Cathay Pacific will assist with alternative arrangements for affected passengers.   

While Cathay Pacific plans to operate its flights as scheduled on 21 September (Saturday), passengers are reminded that the situation can change rapidly and are advised to check the latest flight information on the airline’s website, www.cathaypacific.com, before departing for the airport.
