Cathay Pacific to launch in Dallas Fort Worth with four-times-weekly service to Hong Kong

Airline reinforces its commitment to North America with upcoming nonstop flights from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport

Cathay Pacific is pleased to introduce new nonstop service between Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Hong Kong on 24 April 2025, seamlessly connecting the southern United States with the airline’s home city. The airport will become the first major hub in the south for Cathay Pacific passenger flights, reaffirming the airline’s commitment to North America.

Flight CX897, operated by the airline’s state-of-the-art Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, will depart DFW at 11:55pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving in Hong Kong two days later at 5:05am. This schedule provides customers with convenient connections to Cathay’s extensive network in Asia and the Chinese Mainland. ​ The return flight CX898 will depart Hong Kong at 4:05pm (local time) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving in DFW at 5:55pm on the same day (complete schedule below).

Cathay Pacific customers will enjoy a premier long-haul flight experience when traveling between DFW and Hong Kong. The airline’s state-of-the-art A350s are among the quietest and most environmentally friendly aircraft in the sky. Each aircraft is equipped with comfortable seating, an award-winning inflight entertainment experience and Wi-Fi connectivity across Business, Premium Economy, and Economy classes. Customers will also enjoy select wellness amenities alongside a range of dining offerings in partnership with several iconic Hong Kong establishments, including Louise, Pirata and Duddell’s.


​Currently, Cathay Pacific operates 88 return passenger flights per week to Hong Kong from seven destinations in North America, including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Toronto and Vancouver. Flights for Cathay Pacific’s DFW service are open for reservations starting tomorrow with the flight schedules as follows:

Cathay Pacific is also increasing frequencies on its North America passenger services in 2025, providing more choices for customers. By May, the airline will be operating 108 return flights per week. Aside from the new Dallas service, that will include three return flights per day to New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles respectively, and a daily return flight to both Boston and Chicago.  Cathay Pacific also continues to increase flights on its services to Canada, with two daily return flights to Vancouver and 13 return flights per week to Toronto.
