Cathay Pacific returns to Seattle with five non-stop return flights per week

Underscoring the airline’s continued efforts to expand its North America network and frequencies, including its non-stop Dallas-Fort Worth flights increasing to daily

Cathay Pacific is delighted to announce the return of its non-stop flights to Seattle from 30 March 2026, reconnecting Hong Kong with one of the most vibrant cities on the west coast of the United States. Seattle marks the airline’s ninth passenger destination in North America, further enhancing the global connectivity of its Hong Kong hub.

This comes as Cathay Pacific continues to strengthen its presence in North America. In April this year, the airline debuted its direct passenger flights between Hong Kong and Dallas-Fort Worth, which will increase to daily from 26 October 2025 by popular demand, up from the current four return flights per week.

Cathay Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau said: “We are excited to resume direct passenger flights to Seattle, reinforcing our goal to deepen business and cultural ties between Hong Kong and a dynamic tech hub in the United States. This route not only provides greater convenience for our customers, but also supports the growing demand for connectivity between Asia and North America, particularly among travellers from the Chinese Mainland and India.

“Customers can immerse themselves in Seattle’s thriving tech scene, lush greenery and rich cultural offerings, while those travelling to Hong Kong and through our home hub can connect to more than 100 destinations around the world through the Cathay Group’s network.”

The Hong Kong-Seattle service will be operated using Cathay Pacific’s Airbus A350-900 aircraft, providing customers with fully flat beds in Business, spacious seats in Premium Economy and comfort in Economy cabins. Flight schedules are as follows (all times local, subject to change and regulatory approval):

The new five-times-weekly service complements Cathay Pacific’s North America summer schedule for 2026, which includes more than 110 return flights per week to Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver.

On the customer experience front, Cathay Pacific is enhancing travel between Hong Kong and North America. The airline’s award-winning Aria Suite Business class, all-new Premium Economy and refreshed Economy cabins are now available on selected daily flights to and from Vancouver. The airline is also opening its first-ever dedicated airport lounge in New York — a nearly 10,000-square-foot flagship lounge — when it moves to John F. Kennedy International Airport’s state-of-the-art Terminal 6 building in 2026.

Customers can also enjoy Cathay Pacific’s award-winning inflight entertainment experience, which has been named the world’s best by Skytrax, along with inflight menus developed together with Michelin-starred Hong Kong restaurants in every cabin class on long-haul flights from Hong Kong.

Cathay Pacific’s new Seattle service also provides more options for cargo customers. The belly space on Cathay Pacific’s passenger flights complements the close to 40 return freighter flights per week that Cathay Cargo will operate to North America at the peak of the 2026 summer season.
