Cathay Pacific offers special discounts to senior citizens

Cathay Pacific Airways is once again offering senior citizens in Hong Kong and Macau a special discount of 20 per cent on tickets to a number of popular destinations in celebration of Senior Citizens’ Day, which this year falls on 18 November.

This is the 13th consecutive year for the airline to offer the discount and thank those who helped to turn Hong Kong into the successful city it is today. Many seniors keep a close eye on the newspapers in November for details of the annual travel discounts, excited about the opportunity to travel to their favourite destinations.

Hong Kong and Macau residents aged 65 and over can enjoy a 20 per cent discount when purchasing Economy Class, Premium Economy Class and Business Class tickets to selected Cathay Pacific destinations. Tickets must be issued between 1- 21 November 2012 for travel between 1 November 2012 and 27 March 2013. Blackout periods apply over Christmas and the Chinese New Year period. Terms and conditions apply.

The 2012 seniors’ promotion includes many of Cathay Pacific’s most popular regional destinations, including Singapore and Taipei, as well as long-haul destinations such as London, San Francisco, and Sydney.

Cathay Pacific General Manager Sales PRD & Hong Kong Lavinia Lau said: “For the 13th year running, we are pleased to offer special discount fares for all senior citizens of Hong Kong as a way of expressing our heartfelt thanks for their contribution to Hong Kong over the years. We hope this offer will give our seniors an opportunity to either visit their loved ones overseas or just relax and explore the world in style and comfort.”
