Cathay Pacific might be affected as typhoon approaches passengers are advised to check latest flight information

Cathay Pacific Airways announced that based on the latest weather forecast on Severe Typhoon Utor, the airline plans to operate as scheduled today (13 August) and tomorrow. However, as the severe typhoon moves closer to Hong Kong later tonight and tomorrow, some flights will be delayed and/or subject to diversion.  Passengers are reminded that the situation can change rapidly and are advised to check the latest flight information on the airline’s website,, before departing for the airport.

Passengers who are booked on flights departing between 13 August and 15 August are encouraged to postpone non-essential travel. The airline will waive re-booking fees for all tickets issued worldwide (irrespective of fare type) on or before 12 August for travel on Cathay Pacific between 18:00 on 13 August (Hong Kong time) and 15 August.  Passengers without confirmed bookings are advised not to go to the airport.  Cathay Pacific will assist with alternative arrangements for affected passengers.
