Cathay Pacific media statement (16 Mar 2011)

In response to media enquires, a Cathay Pacific spokesperson said:

“As Hong Kong's Home Carrier, Cathay Pacific will continue to maintain our schedule services to and from Japan for as long as it is safe to do so. This is particularly important at this moment in time when many people need to return home and when supplies have to deliver to Japan. On the basis of the advice from relevant authorities in Hong Kong and in Japan, we are satisfied that it is safe to continue our normal operations. We are constantly monitoring what is a rapidly changing situation and will make necessarily changes to our operating procedures if the situation so requires.”
